Course Details

"Be self-reliant in attitude and as far as possible,
self-sufficient in terms of equipment and skills"

Eric Langmuir - 'Mountaincraft and Leadership'

We have fun as well as learn new navigation skills

Instructor ratio 1 - 4 maximum. We provide an informal, friendly and very practical approach to all aspects of navigation.

On the 2 day course the first day concentrates on low level micro navigation. The second day concentrates on using a compass on open hill and moorland.

With the three-day course the first two days are spent on instruction and the third day is given over to planning and executing your own route. It could also involve a night out in a wilderness location.
